Culinari Web
The Culinari food community on the web: feeds, reels, trending recipes and creators in one place.

The web version of Culinari brings the app to the browser. A personalised For You feed, a Trending shelf, creator stories, reels and an Explore grid of recipes, videos and articles, with a layout that adapts from a wide desktop dashboard to a phone with bottom navigation.
The problem
Cooks and creators do not only live on their phones. Many want to browse recipes on a laptop, plan a meal on a large screen, or publish from a desk, and they expect the same account and content they have in the app.
The goal
Bring the full Culinari experience to the browser, with the same feeds, creators and recipes, in a layout that feels natural on desktop and still works as well as the app on a phone.
Discover
Looked at how people use Culinari on desktop versus mobile: bigger browsing sessions, more creators and more time in Explore.
Design
A cream and orange interface with a left navigation rail, a three-column feed and a visual Explore grid that lets the food photography lead.
Build
A responsive React and TypeScript web app on Supabase, sharing accounts, feeds, follows and content with the mobile app.
Ship
Deployed to theculinari.com with a mobile layout that swaps the sidebar for the app's bottom navigation.

A feed made for big screens
Creator stories, a Trending carousel and a multi-column For You feed with photo-led posts, follows and engagement.
Explore everything
A tile grid of recipes, videos and articles, filterable by All, Users, Videos and Articles, with search for recipes, creators and cuisines.
One account, every device
The same profile, follows and saved content as the mobile app, with the layout adapting from sidebar to bottom tabs.
ReflectionA web version is more than a bigger app. Wide screens let the photography breathe, so the layout shifted from a single feed to a browsing surface, while the account and content stayed the same.
